Richard is a first-generation college graduate and has proudly served with national organizations supporting first-generation student success. He has broad experience in mentoring, advising, and program evaluation and is excited to support scholars at the University of Illinois. Richard holds a M.A. in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies, Graduate Certificate in American Indian and Native Studies, and a B. A. in African American Studies from the University of Iowa. He enjoys good coffee, hiking, playing basketball, and spending time with family.

Diana Roman

Diana is a University of Illinois alumnus and first-generation college graduate. During her undergraduate career, Diana spent three years as a Student Coordinator for La Casa Cultural Latina. Previous to joining our team, she was at Lewis University where she served as the Coordinator for the Office for Student Engagement and Multicultural Enrichment, advising student organizations, executing a number of large events, and creating connections with students through relationship building.

Casey Moore

Casey is a first-generation college student from a small town in central Illinois. She attended John A. Logan Community College before earning her B.S. in Marketing and M.S. Ed. in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University. For over nine years, she has worked at the University of Illinois, supporting undergraduate students through admissions, advising, and major and career exploration. Casey is passionate about helping students like herself navigate college and is especially committed to supporting students’ mental health. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at UIUC.
